Fahrzeughistorie:

1961 auf der Frankfurter IAA vorgestellt, ist der BMW 3200 CS ist der Nachfolger des BMW 503 und stammt aus der Feder des Turiner Karossiers Bertone. Seinerzeit unauffällig, zählen die Bertone Coupés heute zu den seltenen und gesuchten deutschen 8 Zylinder Coupés der 60er Jahre. Mit Fahrgestellnummer 76.176 wurde eine Modellpflege durchgeführt: Änderungen vom Blecharmaturenbrett zu einer hölzernen Ausführung, serienmäßige Ledersitze, einen Lüfter mit Visco-Kupplung sowie das direkt am Motor angeflanschtes Getriebe sind die wesentlichen Änderungen.
Dieses Fahrzeug wurde im Oktober 1964 zugelassen und ist somit einer der letzten produzierten 3200 CS. Die Sonderausstattungen Schiebedach und auch die elektrischen Fensterheber machen zusammen mit dem wunderschön erhaltenen Lederinterieur den Charme dieses seltenen Coupés aus. Die Restauration ist schon etwas älter, aber nichts desto trotz ist das Fahrzeug in einem schönen, authentischen Zustand.

Vehicle history:

Presented at the Frankfurt IAA in 1961, the BMW 3200 CS is the successor to the BMW 503 and comes from the pen of the Turin coachbuilder Bertone. Inconspicuous at the time, the Bertone Coupés are now among the rare and sought-after German 8-cylinder coupés of the 60s. With chassis number 76.176, a facelift was carried out: changes from the sheet metal dashboard to a wooden version, standard leather seats, a fan with viscous clutch and the transmission flanged directly to the engine are the main changes.
This vehicle was registered in October 1964, making it one of the last 3200 CS produced. The optional sliding roof and also the electric windows, together with the beautifully preserved leather interior, make up the charm of this rare coupé. The restoration is a bit older, but nevertheless the vehicle is in a beautiful, authentic condition.
