Description
Description
An exceptional friction propelled tin toy by the Japanese toy manufacturer Alps. This car is unusual as it has a driver, which was not featured in many Alps toy cars. Some of these toy cars have as many as 175 separate parts, all hand assembled on small production lines. All were made of very thin stamped steel sheet, generally in three pieces (main body, roof, and chassis plate) that were then painted like a full-size car. All toys were exported from Japan and sold to the American market.
