Description

A large and well-made Trench Art model of a French 75 field gun, constructed of found materials, of iron construction on a oval oak plinth with riveted detailing, the underside of the base, intriguingly marked "GEORGE." English, circa 1916. Length of gun: 15 in. (38 cm). Length of base: 19 in. (48 cm). Height: 9 in. (23 cm).

An unusual Trench Art cigarette canister made from part of a WWI artillery shell, with the RFC (Royal Flying Corps) wings to the cover. English, circa 1915. Height: 4 in. (10 cm). Diameter: 3.5 in. (9 cm).
