Description

The flat green paint on this Willys Jeep is actually in great condition. Especially for a vehicle that was designed to take a beating. Surface corrosion is highly common on these vehicles, yet this exterior shows next to none. However, don’t let that be misleading, surface corrosion is still present in other areas. The trailer that comes with this vehicle has its fair share of surface corrosion, as does the undercarriage of the car itself. There appear to be some dents along the driver’s side of the vehicle, and at the rear driver’s side quarter panel. The clear headlights look just as pristine as the canvas top.

This Willys interior is robust. If you’re looking for touchscreens and wood grain dash boards, you are in the wrong place. Cold green metal is all you get here in this Jeep. All of the operational panels are present, the gauges are clean, and all of the stamps are still legible. The latches for the canvas top are in excellent shape. There does appear to be surface corrosion on the floor, but none of it looks particularly worrying. Fun quirks inside include the glove box being located on the driver’s side as opposed to the passenger, and the passenger seat can be removed to reveal a compartment underneath the seat.

The Willys Jeep is an iconic American vehicle, and a quintessential piece of American history that deserves preservation. This is a well-preserved example, the exterior to this Jeep is remarkably clean and the trailer it comes with is a highly uncommon piece of equipment. The Marine Corps designation makes this vehicle even more unique and adds quite a lot to the story behind this specific example.
