Description

What a beauty, red Brazilian Volkswagen T1 Samba deluxe van from 1975 with 23 windows, open folding roof, opening front and side Safari windows and a beautiful new interior.

Beautiful colour combination of Ruby Red with a Lotus white roof and chrome details.

This original VW T1 from Brazil was restored in 2022 and sprayed in two-tone by an experienced T1 workshop in Brazil, they’ve done more than 50 T1s. It is not an original Samba but a beautiful replica with all the details and sun windows. The van was completely resprayed in the beautiful colour combination of Ruby Red with a Lotus White roof. The chrome frames, two-tone rims and VW logo on the front complete the van! The chassis, axles and doors were sprayed in colour and are in good condition.

This T1 has the well-known air-cooled 1500 cc engine with 4 cylinders. The engine runs fine, the transmission shifts fine.

The interior was fully reupholstered: new curtains, headlining, side panels, new seats, sun visors, and of course the sliding (folding) roof which opens. The seats are beautifully upholstered with a combination of white imitation leather on the side and beige / brown fabric seats. The front windows are pop-up Samba windows, they fold open. A new, original chrome-plated Volkswagen logo on the front, original VW rims with chrome hubcaps. The curtains, whitewall tyres and double roof rack complete this van. It even has a VW logo on the roof rack!

This beautiful T1 was restored in Brazil where the quality of the work lower is than in Europe. Some country-specific work still needs to be done to meet European requirements. We always recommend to take into account additional work with Brazilian vans such as checking brakes, engine, etc. It might well be that a fuel gauge does not work, a door or window does not close properly, or the ignition key does not fit on the door locks. You can adjust this to your own requirements or leave it as it is. You’ll always be able to find something on a 50-year-old van.

The van comes with a Brazilian registration. All import duties were paid and customs documents are included. The van is being sold ‘as is’. This is a private sale, warranty does not apply. The van is in Delden, the Netherlands. The van must be picked up within 14 days after the end of the auction. This Classic Car is for sale on Catawiki.
