The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Convertible is a classic convertible known for its timeless elegance and charm. It was a sporty two-door convertible produced by Volkswagen in collaboration with the renowned coachbuilder Karmann GmbH. The Karmann Ghia Convertible was introduced in 1957 and was based on the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupé introduced in 1955. The design of the Karmann Ghia Convertible was strongly influenced by the classic lines of the Karmann Coupé with a stylish and sporty look. The body of the Karmann Ghia Convertible was slim and streamlined, with rounded shapes and a low, elongated nose. It had a low-set windshield and a low roofline that ended in a fabric convertible top that could be folded down for open-top driving. The Karmann Ghia Convertible was often praised for its timeless design and is often considered one of the most beautiful convertibles. The interior of the Karmann Ghia Convertible was compact but stylish. It offered room for four people, but the rear seat was quite limited and was often used for luggage or extra storage space. The interior featured characteristic details such as a classically designed dashboard and round instruments. The Karmann Ghia Convertible was popular with car enthusiasts because of its unique and timeless design as well as its reliable performance.

The cars on offer are part of a static collection that has been accumulated over the last 40 years. They are mainly in an unrestored, original but dusty condition. We have not tried to start any of the cars. We have been informed that the engines have been turned, on a regular basis, but the exact condition of the cars and the engines is unknown to us.

Viewing days:

Due to the expected high attendance, you will only be able to visit a viewing day if you purchase an admission ticket. Registration for a viewing day is required.
