It was in 2006 that Baudouin Lempereur bought this car from a Belgian enthusiast from Ixelles to whom it had belonged since 1987. He intended to overhaul it for historic rallies, but ultimately did not complete the project. The bodywork was restored over 20 years ago, and while the paint looks flattering in a beautiful red shade, the sheet metal alignments are not perfect, and signs of corrosion appear at the sills. The engine compartment was redone at the same time and the mechanicals were partially disassembled for overhaul. Baudouin Lempereur did not finish the project and the remaining parts will be delivered with the car which deserves to be completed by an enthusiast. This attractive model, with its 4-cylinder with two SU carburetors, performs well in today’s traffic. Additionally, the 4-speed gearbox has an overdrive, which lowers the engine speed and saves both the mechanicals and improves fuel consumption over long distances.
The black leather interior offers good patina, and the car is fitted with additional Cibié headlamps. Sold with various manuals, this attractive project, after some work, promises real moments of driving pleasure.
