Description
With the Amazon of the 120/130 Series Volvo laid the foundation for its success as an automobile manufacturer and its reputation for building some of the safest cars indeed. From the end of the 1950s crash tests were conducted and both models, the PV 544 and the P121 Amazon, were the first series-produced automobiles which, from 1959, received 3-point front seatbelts. The 121 offered here has been delivered in Switzerland and was first registered on the 25th of March 1970. The early history of the Amazon is not known until, in November 2013, it was first registered as a Veteran car in the Schaffhausen Canton. Shortly afterwards the lovely Volvo was acquired by its last registered keeper in the Uri Canton. He drove the car only sparingly and since 2013 only around 8’000 kilometres have been covered. Nevertheless, the Volvo was always provided with the necessary love and care. Besides normal servicing, in 2017, the valveguide seals were renewed and in 2020 the rear wheel brake cylinders were replaced. Currently the Volvo is in good so very good condition and is sure to provide many years of faithful service to a new Volvo enthusiast. The most recent veteran MOT was completed in September 2020.
