Take a Rover 4 litre V8 with 242 horsepower, combine it with a space frame chassis and a glass fibre coachwork, all resulting in a total of 1070 kilogrammes and you get an impressive and competent sportscar from TVR. With only 456 examples built (where of only 10% were equipped with left hand drive) the S3 V8 offered is an exceedingly rare occurrence on our roads. It was taken over in 2009 with then 140’000 kilometres driven, from a previous owner who regularly drove the TVR to England. The GT boasts a leather interior, electrically operated windows, removable roof segments with specially made protective covers, a sports exhaust system (the original system is available and will be handed over with the car) and an optional soft top which, being specifically designed and constructed, saves a lot of room in the boot. The TVR was meticulously and regularly maintained by specialists. Over the last three years following tasks were completed: the suspension bushings were replaced by PU parts, the brake callipers and brake pads were replaced as well as the tyres, the clutch hydraulics were overhauled, the boot locking system was converted from the unreliable electric activation to a manual cable operated system, the door hinges were repaired and the fuel pump as well as the starter motor were replaced. With now 173’000 kilometres, the rare cabriolet is in technically very good condition and cosmetically shows age-correct signs of use. The most recent MOT was completed in April 2023. For a Swiss buyer, the TVR receives a new MOT.
