The 1966 Triumph TR4A is a quintessential British sportscar, blending classic design with innovative engineering. Introduced as an evolution of the TR4, it featured a refined chassis and optional independent rear suspension (IRS), enhancing handling and ride quality. Powered by a 2.1 litre inline-four engine producing 104 horsepower, it offered spirited performance for its era. Its Michelotti-designed body showcased clean lines, a distinctive grille and elegant details. The TR4A's convertible design, complete with a practical Surrey Top option, made it versatile for open-top motoring. Revered for its blend of charm, performance and affordability, the TR4A remains a classic icon in motoring history.

This delightful TR4A was registered on 7th March 1966 and presents extremely well in its original colour combination of New White with a contrasting black leather interior which is detailed in the Heritage Certificate. The look of this classic British sportscar is enhanced with a Surrey Top and ever popular wire wheels. This handsome example also benefits from the desirable options of a heater, overdrive and independent rear suspension. This restored example is one of the nicest we have seen and is offered to auction with a comprehensive file of bills and receipts, early MoT test certificates, a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate, a buff logbook and a current V5C registration document. Given its outstanding quality, good specification and reasonable estimate, this TR4 surely deserves consideration. Consigned by Dominic Lake.
