Description
We are always happy to have a legendary vehicle like the Toyota FJ40 in our showroom. Especially when it's one that is as nice as this one. Classic Car collectors have always loved the Toyota LandCruiser. And this one checks off many boxes for us, including originality, a good restoration and excellent mechanicals.
Many FJ40s that are available are recent imports from Central America. While these are often done nicely, they are mostly simple farm trucks. Many don't even have heaters. This example is a Colorado original - according to the current owners, it was sold new in Pueblo in 1979 or 1980. Being a North American Spec, it is inherently more valuable.
It also has its original engine rather than the common Chevy small block conversion. CALIFORNIA customers - Truck still has original smog equipment. Original factory paint color and interior style also adds value. A restoration around 10 years ago by Rocky Mountain Cruisers resulted in rust repairs in all of the susceptible areas - rear quarters, door sills, bed, etc. These are all now in good condition. Tasteful offload upgrades include Old Man Emu lift and steering stabilizer as well as upgraded center console, newer car stereo, amp and speakers.
In short this is a very original, well-running, well-restored truck that is ready for fun weekends, some dirt trails and a few little projects to keep it looking great.
