Description

The Golden Series debuted in April 1968 as the 3rd generation of the Corona. This was the first 7R type SOHC engine, which had a displacement of 1600 cc, achieving 100 horsepower, compared to the 30 horsepower that the previous version achieved.

However, the Golden Series was discontinued when the Corona Mark II was released in September 1968, meaning that the Golden Series was only on sale for 5 months. As such, these models are rare.

This particular model is a 1968 single cab model. The exterior is in relatively good condition, although the plated parts have deteriorated over time. The rear has a “1600” badge that proves its rarity. There are small scratches on the door panel and some stains on the seats, but there are no major tears or defects. The instrument panels are maintained in their original condition and an air conditioner made by Japan Denso is installed in the glove box on the passenger side. As the car has spent many years in storage inside and requires recommissioning to run.
