2008 Tesla Roadster, S/N 5YJRE11B681000349, Fusion Red with cream leather interior. 185kW electric motor with a 53 kilowatt-hour battery pack powering a three-phase electric induction motor mated to a single speed transmission…phew! Telsa’s very first model and the 349th built…a “series 1” version of the car that started the empire…and this Roadster is a local, one-owner car that was ordered new by the current owner and he’s responsible for the ~28k miles on it…mostly commuting back and forth to work in Orange County. In spectacular condition and just serviced and updated by Gruber Motor Company of Phoenix, the Roadster experts (about $20k in receipts). When nearly new, Tesla installed a “sound deadening kit” to this car for ~$4k which greatly improved the on-road noise level. This Tesla comes with a carbon fiber roof panel, soft roof panel, plug in charger, two 220 wall-mount home chargers, two keys and JVC head unit with navigation. These most likely will be one of the most collectible modern cars in the near future and the early ones are always the most pure in concept and design.
