Description

SUBARU LEGACY B4 S401
Imported to Australia for evaluation and promotional use by Subaru Australia, this extremely rare twin-turbo vehicle has remained in the brand’s ownership for its entire life.
Built by Subaru’s performance division, Subaru Tecnica International (STI), this vehicle has never been driven on public roads.
This Japan domestic specification example is one of just 286 reportedly made for Model Year 2002 - and has under 300 kilometres on the clock.
The four cylinder 2.0-litre horizontally-opposed Boxer engine produces 216 Kilowatts (289 hp) of power at 6,400 rpm; and 343 Newtonmetres 253 lb-ft) of torque between 4,400-5,600 rpm, distinguishing it from the more mainstream Legacy B4.
The twin-turbo 2.0 EJ208 engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox – and, of course, it’s all underpinned by Subaru symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Brembo brakes and STI rims also distinguish the B4 S401.
