Following the demise of the Phantom V1, Rolls Royce no longer offered a full size limousine model, following a number of enquiries from long term customers for a new limousine the brief was given to Mulliner Park Ward, the bespoke coachbuilding arm of Rolls Royce to design such a car.
The new Touring Limousine model based upon the well received Silver Spur model was announced in 1992. It was a much more modern and less ostentatious design than the outgoing Phantom, as useful as a mobile office for the busy company chairman as a parade car for a head of state. As always each car was handmade and the variations in specification were virtually limitless. The basic options were for two different lengths of stretch, the longer of the two options incorporated no less than three side doors and are now rather rare and desirable. The car we offer today
