Description

*FOR SALE* PORSCHE 912 // STUNNING SLATE GREY OVER DARK GREY LEATHER // FULLY RESTORED

Equipment
Slate Grey, Dark Grey Leather, Radio w/Loudspeaker, Chrome Plated Perforated Disc Wheels, Wood Steering Wheel, Bilstein Suspension

EXTERIOR
An all together more simple and humble design exercise over it’s bigger brother, the 912 demonstrates that less is indeed more. The profile and proportions are hard to beat and with an incredible colour, Slate Grey in this case. The result is something that comes incredibly close to achieving classic car perfection.

Restored some 10 years ago the quality of the craftmanship is second-to-none; as to be expected when esteemed Porsche expert Robin Dalwood has been involved. With chrome accents aplenty, your eye moves across the car to pick out numerous details that contribute to a sophisticated style and stunning design.

Having been carefully finessed by our in-house team the car presents quite beautifully.

INTERIOR
Opening the low slung lightweight door you are met by a stunning cabin space, which is an experience in itself, before that first turn of the key and that fantastic flat four warble.

The dark grey leather seats are immaculate front and back, complimented by a beautiful aluminium trim with 912 dash inscription and wooden rimmed steering wheel. Trimmed by Gabbat & Brown of Lancashire the interior looks just as it did in the 60’s – wholly original allied with carpets, mats and belts as new.

Instantly recognisable, the classic green dials and dash set the tone for a well designed interior focused around the driver; setting the standard for many generations to come.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Thanks to a full engine and gearbox rebuild courtesy of Chicane Classics in 2012, the flat 4 not only presents in immaculate condition but performs admirably on test. With adjustments made to the heater boxes and exchanger flaps, as well as an oil and plugs service just a handful of miles ago, the car is in rude health.

Where it may lack in performance against it’s flat 6 counterpart, the character of the 4 cylinder is quite unique with all together more sensible running costs.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
With an abundance of bright accents throughout, the crested chrome wheels look just right against the dark bodywork.

This stunning 912 was originally specified with these wheels – now accompanied by period correct Michelin XZX rubber on all four corners.

With disc brakes all round the car the car slows down with a minimum of fuss.

HISTORY FILE
Originally delivered to the West Coast of the US in the summer of 1967 with chrome wheels and a wooden steering wheel, this stunning 912 was imported to the UK in 1992.

Although there isn’t much in the way of history from it’s time in the US, the car has multiple folders full of paperwork from the moment it landed here; a really very impressive timeline of the love and care invested over the years.

In 2006 it was subject to a complete restoration bringing some of the best in the business together to create a beautifully bespoke example. Chassis work was carried out by Chestertons Coach Works before paint with Robin Dalwood and assembly by GDC Automotive of Bicester. Chicane Classics sorted the mechanicals prior to a full re-trim by Gabbat & Brown. Latterly both Parr and Nice Excellence have serviced the car and the car sits on the button.

A Certificate of Authenticity is present as well as spare keys, restoration pictures and most if not all documentation since arrival into the UK all organised in chronological order.

Please visit our website for a full write up and additional photographs.

The car is supplied having had an extensive intake inspection. Warranty, Finance, Part Exchange and Worldwide shipping are all available on request.
