Description
One of the all time great sports cars, the Porsche 911 has become a legend on both road and track during an illustrious career spanning over three decades and is perhaps the most timeless design ever seen in motoring history. Over the years the monocoque 911 with its independent torsion bar front and trailing arm rear suspension, and superb air-cooled fl at-six cylinder engine, grew in engine capacity and power, and its derivatives remain dominant in competition. Today as then the 911 is a powerful force in modern production based racing classes as it is in the historic classes of racing.
This historic rally car was manufactured in 1972 and has been extensively rebuilt this year, including engine and gearbox, with many new parts with invoices for over £20,000 from DSG Engineering. The engine recently recorded producing 260 bhp but was not taken to maximum revs as not yet run in. Power is fed through a close ratio gearbox with limited slip differential which has also been recently rebui
