Description

German delivered example
Extensive history record
Very original condition
Comfort seats & aircon
Manual gearbox
We are thrilled to present you this handsome and extremely original, low-mileage third-generation Porsche 964 Carrera C2 Speedster in Guards Red over black with some interesting options. It is also a particularly rare offering, as it is believed that 935 911 Speedsters were built for all markets—far fewer than the 3,000 that Porsche had first hoped to build and sell. Around half of them where destined for the ROW market and even fewer had the manual gearbox.

According to contemporary reports, standard colors for the 1994 model were said to be Red, Speed Yellow, Grand Prix White, Maritime Blue, and Black, all with black tops. A single car in Silver Metallic was seen at the car’s introduction. The cut-down windshield on the new car was not removable, greatly improving water-tightness, and the unpadded fabric top could be tucked away beneath the fiberglass twin-humped tonneau, which covered a fully-carpeted luggage storage space in lieu of rear seats. The tonneau was supported by gas struts.

This car was delivered with silver-painted 17-inch Carrera Cup-style alloy wheels instead of body-colored rims. Buyer-selected options included Comfort seats with heating, rather than the much more commonly seen Recaro Sports buckets, a Blaupunkt radio and air conditioning.

The records on file state that it was first delivered in late 1993 through Porsche's Werksauslieferung in Stuttgart; the famous factory delivery. Around 2000 the car was bought by a French connaisseur who had the car featured in a French magazine together with a Silver example. The last French owner bought the car in 2008 and sold it to Belgium in 2015. Since the car arrived in Belgium it has been part of a beautiful Porsche collection and has been driven just a few times over the past years, during which it has been maintained by Porsche Gelderland in the Netherlands. It now displays a mere 50,900 kilometers on the odo.

Our inspections show paint in great condition throughout with even depth and gloss all around. No traces of any accidents can be found, gaps are as they should and all panels are matching. The current owner told us that he had the the engine lid and right side door repainted after a detailer went through the clearcoat. This is confirmed by our paint measurements and the invoice and pictures on file.

Stylish, rare, highly desirable and superbly presented, the car comes complete with a large binder with files as well as its leather wallet; instruction book (including section for a Speedster); service booklet; stereo instructions, etc. A number of service invoices and technical inspection are included with this Speedster, along with the car’s original Porsche radio/cassette player, jack, tools, and owner’s manuals.

This is an uncommon opportunity to add a rare and elegant – and well documented - Speedster to your Porsche collection.

The car currently has Belgian registration.
