Description
In February 2006, Porsche launched a second-generation GT3 based on the 997 platform. The new model brought a host of improvements over the outgoing 996 GT3, including a 415 hp, 3.6-liter flat-six engine, Porsche’s Active Suspension Management, and zero-lift aerodynamics. An even more track-focused RS variant was made available that boasted additional weight reduction, as well as increased grip and stability via a wider track and bodywork.
One of a mere 230 examples imported into the US for the 2007 model year, this 997 GT3 RS was delivered new through Porsche Tysons Corner in Vienna, Virginia, finished in Black over a complementing black full leather interior with contrasting orange wheels and accents. Over $5,400 in exclusive options included Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, Bi-Xenon headlights, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Carbon Interior Package, and myriad leather, carbon fiber, and deviated stitching embellishments.
Presented in pristine condition, this RS is accompanied by its original window sticker, books, tools, tire inflator, CARFAX Vehicle History Report, and service records illustrating its regular service and upkeep. Registering less than 2,250 miles at the time of cataloguing, this GT3 RS may be one of the most attractive, well-optioned, and low-mileage examples available, and hence, an unmissable opportunity for the discerning Porsche enthusiast.
