THE 997 GT3

In February 2006, Porsche revealed the first generation 997 GT3 which, in addition to a new 415 hp, 3.6 litre flat-six engine featured "zero lift" aerodynamics, meaning the car creates only aerodynamic downforce and no grip-diminishing "lift". The vehicle made use of a modified, race developed version of Porsche's active suspension making it the first of Porsche's RS or GT3 versions to feature an electronically adjustable suspension system. The vehicle has a rated 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 193 miles per hour (311 km/h). The GT3 returned to the styling of the original, with a sculptured flowing rear spoiler rather than the flat slab RS variety. The 997 GT3 was tuned for track day events, but with rose-jointed suspension, possessed an uncanny ability to ride comfortably over poor tarmac. The six-speed manual transmission was also adapted to the new GT3 engine's extended power band by changing the gear ratios.

This particular example was built on the (28th of September 2007) and dispatched to the Porsche Centre Brussels (Drogenbos). Finished in GT Silver Metallic the car was optioned from new with the Comfort Package and Sunroof.

The car is offered from 11 years ownership and is now showing just under 90.000km on the odo. Delivered new in Belgium, the car has stayed there every day since. A quick glance at the car is enough to see that it is quite clear that this car has been well looked after and maintained. The vehicle underwent a regular services at Porsche specialists in Belgium.

Our paint thickness measurements indicate that the car is completely in first paint with exempt of the front bumper and the front right wheel arch. The front right is painted thin with no traces of filler nor any repairs. This was repainted by the previous owner around 2011, said because of scratch down to the bare metal. Interior is beautiful and well maintained, with just very light traces of use. Wheels are original and unrestored with recent Michelin tyres. The original silver centercaps have been replaced with black examples as a hint to the previous Porsche he owned. The originel silver caps come with the car.

To avoid scratching and damaging the front lip everywhere, the current owner had the Techart Noselift kit installed. A much needed option for ease of use in town or underground carparks. The originel springs also come with the car.

Accompanying the car are a recent PIWIS test indicating that the car has never been over revved. We can also see the original owner’s literature and service book, manual along with a spare key and a collection of maintenance invoices, technical inspections and the titles to the previous owners,.... dating all the way back to day one. Even the original card to remove the front indicators is still available!
