- En 1997, Porsche annonce l’arrêt de la production de la 993 et le passage à une nouvelle ère pour la firme et plus particulièrement pour la 911. Le produit est intégralement repensé par une toute nouvelle équipe, et, fait marquant, le refroidissement par air est abandonné pour répondre aux normes de pollution.
- En 2002, Porsche présente pour la première fois une phase 2 sur une 911. Autrefois, les différentes générations pouvaient être remaniées, mais toujours avec discrétion. A travers cette seconde phase, Porsche annonce le retour de la version Carrera 4S, qui propose une armada de modifications : suspensions rabaissées, freins de la Turbo, et ligne « Turbo Look » …
- Notre exemplaire fut livré neuf par Meister Motors Co., au Japon, dans cette élégante livrée Noir Basalt avec intérieur en cuir pleine fleur marron, issue d’une commande auprès du département Porsche Exclusive. Le premier propriétaire avait également choisi d’ajouter un certain nombre d’options intéressantes et rares : sièges chauffants, phares Litronic, système audio Bose…
- Après un court passage en Allemagne, cet exemplaire fut acheté par un important collectionneur français, qui s’en séparera quelques années plus tard au profit du propriétaire actuel. Aujourd’hui, son état de conservation est très bon, notamment grâce à un voile de peinture de très bonne qualité. Son carnet d’entretien, toujours présent (avec ses notices d’utilisation), permet de confirmer les quelques 65 000 km que la voiture affiche au compteur.

- In 1997, Porsche announced the end of production of the 993 and the start of a new era for the company, and more specifically for the 911. The product was completely redesigned by an all-new team, and air-cooling was abandoned to meet pollution standards.
- In 2002, Porsche presented a Phase 2 for the first time on a 911. In the past, different generations could be reworked, but always discreetly. With this second phase, Porsche announced the return of the Carrera 4S version, which featured an armada of modifications: lowered suspension, Turbo brakes and the ‘Turbo Look’ line...
- Our example was delivered new by Meister Motors Co. in Japan, in this elegant Basalt Black livery with brown full-grain leather interior, ordered from the Porsche Exclusive department. The first owner also chose to add a number of interesting and rare options, including heated seats, Litronic headlights and a Bose audio system.
- After a short spell in Germany, the car was bought by a major French collector, who sold it a few years later to the current owner. Today, it is in a very good state of preservation, thanks in particular to its high-quality paintwork. The car's service booklet, which is still available (along with its owner's manuals), confirms that it has clocked up some 65,000 km.
