EXTERIOR
This Carrera 2 looks particularly charming in Speed Yellow; a truly complimentary colour to the elegant proportions of the last air cooled 911 and an iconic colour for the 993 model. The bodywork has been detailed in house and carefully prepared resulting in a deep glossy finish; uniform and consistent throughout.

The wider rear arches are in good order, the factory wing film doing it’s job and protecting the paint from marks or further stone chips. Wing mirrors and lights remain crack and moisture free.

INTERIOR
The cabin of the 993 has a more refined approach to the positioning of the controls and switches compared with previous models. The plush interior is beautifully assembled, with real quality and craftsmanship synonymous with Porsche design. The leather remains tight and clean with only the light signs of use and age throughout.

Carpet and mat set are in good order whilst door cards, dash fit and operation are excellent and as you would expect for a car that has been well looked after over its low mileage. A period Sony CD player remains in-situ; perfect for working through that 90’s back catalogue.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3.6 litre is a perfectly elastic powertrain at both ends of the rev range and tractability is at the core of what makes the 993 so user-friendly. When you ignite the flat-six, it’s turbine-smooth and surprisingly quiet at low revs, although provoke the floor-hinged throttle a little further and the familiar hollow air-cooled bark murmurs satisfyingly around the cabin.

The engine bay presents dry and clean and in perfect mechanical order having had a regular and comprehensive servicing through its life time.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Turbo twist alloys are synonymous with the 993 model and this set presents perfectly having been recently refurbished. Bridgestone tyres are matching on all four corners providing excellent road holding and refinement.

The Red Brembo calipers show well with only a light patina commensurate with age. The performance drilled discs and pads fitted have have plenty of friction material remaining and work perfectly in bringing this 911 to a stop.

HISTORY FILE
First registered by JCT 600 in March of 1996, this stunning speed yellow example was subject to a consistent service routine with 6 visits to either the supplying dealer or Merlin Porsche of Nottingham.

With a further 4 service entries with marque specialists, and having just returned from Porsche Brooklands for a £3k major service inclusive of all fluids, this C2 is future proofed; ready to admire and enjoy.

All invoicing and paperwork is present and correct alongside a number of Concours entries and photographs from the early noughties, where this car would win at Harewood 2003 and place runner up at the Brands Hatch PCGB event in 2004.
