At the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche is presenting the new generation of its best-seller, the 911.
Coupé, Targa and Cabriolet will be available in 3 body styles. Planned for launch with two naturally-aspirated engines, largely taken from the 997 phase 2. Numerous versions were soon available: Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, GTS, etc. The 991 also marked the one millionth 911 produced in 2017. While the coupé and cabriolet remain in the spirit of the 997, the Targa marks its revolution in the 911 generation. The sliding glass roof that appeared on the 993 disappears in favour of a retractable roof, combined with the traditional rollover bar. A major innovation, compared with the historical Targas, is the automatic retraction of the roof via an exceptional and highly complex system.
In 2016, the 991 will receive its first restyling, a major development. The carrera and carrera S are now powered by a twin-turbo Flat 6, a major first in the history of the 911.
The car on offer is a restyled Targa 4S. Delivered new on 15 December 2016 from the Stuttgart factory to a Frenchman, this magnificent 911 was imported into France in 20180. The Targa's elegant configuration highlights its lines, with beautiful navy blue paint and a chocolate leather interior. Very well optioned, it features, among other things, 20-inch Turbo wheels, semi-electric heated seats, extended leather, sports exhaust, active damping, reversing camera and Carplay. Always serviced by the network, as confirmed by its service booklet, this 991 performs as it should. Aesthetically, it looks good, apart from a few small scratches on the rims and bumper.
An exceptional car and a future collector's item, this 911 now costs half as much as its new equivalent. An excellent bargain and a genuine supercar, this Porsche is now just waiting for an enthusiast to take it back to the beautiful roads of France.
