Our car started it´s life in the USA and was imported to France in 2003 where it was under same ownership for the next 11 years. The car was bought 2014 by a Finnish car enthusiast and it changed hands in Finland 2021. Being registered as a Vintage car in Finland, it only needs a technical inspection every 4th year. The car has had a major technical restoration done by Porsche Classic Center in 2020, including an engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild and brake system overhaul (all work has been documented). After the rebuild, the car has been driven 3000km, which means that the engine has perfectly settled in and is working beautifully. It is of outmost importance to bed in and slowly bring a restored car back to a fully operational condition. The original engine has been replaced at some time during the cars lifespan. Having the T5 body, the car still retains the smaller front and rear windows, one piece rear grill and the beautifully curved front bonnet with the fuel filler inside the front luggage compartment. The body is in very good condition and the car has been restored and painted silver (original paint was seal grey) during it´s earlier life. Recently the front lower body has been restored as well as the chassis. The beautiful interior with red leather looks stunning. An electrical fuel pump has been installed to enhance the starting of the engine and for smother running, otherwise everything is in original condition. Being a late 1960 model, the car has already some new features as a clock and a radio. Seatbelts have been installed, but can easily be removed if desired. The paintwork is in good condition and that speaks for the quality of the earlier restoration. The original tools, car jack, handbook and a certificate of authenticity are still with the car. A recent service guarantees that many enjoyable miles are ahead. Driving is a pleasure and the car brings out smiles everywhere you go.
