The 356 has always been popular. In 2004, Sportscar International ranked the 356 tenth on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s. Today, the Porsche 356 is a highly-regarded collectors car and the Porsche 356 Carrera, Super 90 and in particular the Speedster are today among the most desirable 356 models. A fully-restored Speedster (of which only about 140 were ever made) will sell for around £100,000. With prices touching six figures and demand consistently strong, recreations have of varying success have been produced and this particular example is certainly a strong contender as being one of the finest.
