Description

1991/93 SABCO Racing – Mello Yello Pontiac NASCAR, Chassis #11, Mello Yellow livery #42, 358 cu. in. V8 with 640hp mated to a 4 speed gearbox. Laughlin chassis #LRP1941. Kyle Petty’s winning Winston Cup NASCAR. Kyle drove this car to victory lane at the 1992 Watkins Glen race and only raced “ROCK”, SABCO Racing’s nickname for chassis #11 in 5 other NASCAR races (the car’s hour meter reads 49.7 today). #42 retired after the ’93 season, gifted to Kyle from SABCO owner Felix Sabates and was displayed in the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame museum from ’98 until being sold to private, historic racer Bill Jucha in 2003. Jucha raced “ROCK” 9 times up to 2005 (HSCRS log book included) and then retired the car again. Jucha sold to current owner in 2007 and it has been on display in his private museum since. It has been taken care of, starts at the flip of a switch and sounds absolutely insane! Now is the time for Mello Yello #42 to start its next chapter as the famous racing car it is…what track will it lap next? Your call. This car comes with two crates of spares, ownership documentation, Kyle’s signed hat from The Glen and much more. (this car is sold on a bill of sale only & not street legal – duh…)
