Description
A few years before its demise in 1938, Pierce-Arrow produced a line of well-built, luxurious camper trailers. The Model C Travelodge, as offered here, was the smallest of three models, and was targeted to wealthy individuals who wanted a stylish camper to match their Pierce-Arrow automobile. According to an article in the Pierce-Arrow Society on file, this example was found in Kansas by enthusiast Jim Embrey of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Embrey stated that he believed it to remain in largely unaltered condition and had planned a restoration, but never got around to it.
Aficionados of early travel trailers will be rewarded by restoring this beautiful Pierce-Arrow to its original glory and will have one of the most unique and beautiful Art Deco trailers on the road.
