Description
"The Peugeot 205 was produced between 1983 and 1998 and was declared 'Car of the Decade' by CAR magazine in 1990. The styling of the 205 is often thought to be a Pininfarina design; however Gerard Welter, Peugeot's chief designer, claims it as an in-house design; and the car is often credited as the car which turned Peugeot's fortunes around. The GTi version came in 1.6 litre and 1.9 litre engine derivatives and is considered one of the very best hot hatches of all time.
This desirable 1.9 GTi was given the Rally-inspired ‘Dimma’ treatment by a former owner and Peugeot enthusiast. Well known within the Peugeot Owners Club and indeed further afield, this model has attended many Peugeot shows in the past and has also been magazine featured. The last owner prior owned the car for 10 years and was part of the POC. Finished in white with an original GTi interior and the correct ‘Dimma’ wheels, we are advised by the vendor that the car is mechanically good. A current MoT test certificate and original handbooks including many bills are contained within the history file. Unlike many aftermarket body kits the Peugeot ‘Dimma’ has always had a well-respected following amongst Peugeot and sports car enthusiasts; this example is certainly a head turner and will attract much attention."
