Description
Young Augusto Pedrazzini had moved, in 1906, from the Lago di Como area to the Lake Zurich shores. Here he was able to fulfil his dream of running his own little shipyard. With a lot of pioneering spirit, perseverance and manufacturing skills he was able to follow his calling. Over the following years he created very clever constructions beginning with rowing boats and boats for fishermen, later joined by sailing boats and yachts. Each boat carried Pedrazzinis unmistakable handwriting. His oldest son Ferruccio shared the same passion for boat building. Towards the middle of the 50s Ferruccio designed and built the first Superleggera, a then very popular small sports boat with an outboard engine. At the same time, he had completed the plans for the Capri Super Deluxe, the legendary runabout to which even current Pedrazzini mahogany boats owe their characteristic and classic shape. The boat on offer stems from one-family-ownership and was first registered in 1970. Measuring 6.8 metres in length, the Capri Super Deluxe provides space for seven passengers and, thanks to a 300 horsepower 5.7 litre Crusader Marine V8-engine, enough grunt for any kind of water sport activity on Swiss lakes. Over the past 54 years the Pedrazzini was stationed in a dry dock on lake Lucerne and was regularly enjoyed by the owners. Annual maintenance was a matter of course and now the noble runabout, with 171.75 hours on its clock, is in very good and lovingly maintained condition. It will be sold with a cabrio top and a small boarding ladder but without a trailer. From January 2025, the boat can be picked up by the buyer upon appointment at the Vinami Shipyard in Ruswil. With the last MOT from June 2022 this classic luxury boat will certainly provide many years of nautical bliss to a new owner.
