Description

Packard’s 11th Series, corresponding to the 1934 model year, was – in the eyes of many enthusiasts – the zenith of Packard styling in the Classic Era. The most elegant of the cars bearing formal, capacious coachwork were built on the 1108 chassis, with its 147" wheelbase. Packard built nearly 8,000 cars in its 11th Series, with just 960 receiving the celebrated 12-cylinder engine.

The Twelve 1108 Town Car offered here was delivered via the Packard Motor Company of New York City in April 1934, and is finished in dramatic black with a gray cloth rear passenger compartment and black leather up front. It features twin-covered side-mounted spares, a large folding trunk rack, and a leather padded top. Interestingly, the Packard displays a decal indicating its prior registration in Mexico City.

As one of the most coveted models produced by Packard in its day, fitted with one of the more expensive bodies available, this Twelve presents a perfect opportunity to acquire a truly elegant, widely respected classic.
