Presented in a stunning Black over White paintwork with an abundance of Chrome trim with gauges and switches surrounded by an aluminium finished facia, newly trimmed period correct interior, the exterior chrome work presents in excellent order and the car is fitted with period chrome dress rims and white wall tyres. The vehicle has a Packard Service manual and owner's handbook
Today it presents in excellent early restored condition and is a fantastic opportunity to purchase one of the most iconic Packards ever produced under sole ownership and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
Packard released their 400 models in 1955 as their top of the range flagship coupe. During the Pre-WWII era, Packard were synonymous with the highest level of American luxury and were the main rival for Cadillac in the market. Following WWII, Packard began feeling the pinch financially, so they pulled all their resources together to create a model to save the marque, the 400. This model featured the Ultramatic push button automatic transmission, air conditioning and a 5.8L V8 engine which produced 260bhp.
