The car we are offering for sale was first registered in May 1989 in the USA as was the majority of the production.
It is a naturally-aspirated V6 coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox that is perfectly guided and very efficient in sustained driving. The interior is in good condition, the grey cloth wraparound seats have no tears, the plastics on the dashboard and the centre console are still very fresh. The mileage meter shows 78,000 miles since new and this seems to be in keeping with the overall condition of the car. The exterior is not to be outdone with a Silver Metal (673G) paint job identifiable on the Nissan schedule to be picked up in a few places but still quite nice in general. The T-Top roof is functional and waterproof and will allow the future buyer to change between a quasi-cabriolet and a beautiful coupe depending on the season.
Mechanically, the V6 engine seems to deliver the 220 horsepower promised by Nissan in a nice characteristic sound; stored in a closed garage, the 300 ZX has been well maintained by its owners in the US and in Europe (according to the seller, the Nissan would have made the trans-Atlantic trip in the years 2005-2006); recently, the car had an oil change as well as a timing kit replacement, a front tyre and front brake pads replacement was also done in 2018.
