The Morgan Plus 8 is an iconic model that the Morgan Motor Company introduced in 1968. The large V8 engine in combination with the light sports car made the Plus 8 very popular. Rock stars such as Mick Jagger also liked to ride a Plus 8. Over the years, various 8-cylinders have been used, of which the 4.6 perhaps is the most special one. During this time, the Plus 8 had the 3.9 V8 with injection as standard, but in addition this heavier version was optionally available with 4,600cc, of which only 352 were ultimately produced.

The Morgan Plus 8 that is standing in our showroom is one of the Morgans with the famous 4.6 liter engine. The torque (pulling power at low revs) of this 4.6 engine is very impressive so that the car accelerates quickly from 0 to 100 km/h. This car dates from 1998 and is executed in a sporty black colour combined with a dark red leather interior and a red Simmons hood. Also in 1998, Morgans were supplied with the traditional 'busbar roof', but the British company Simmonds developed a folding roof for the Morgans. This not only replaced the entire roof, but also installed a different windscreen. A costly conversion, that was only carried out in England and therefore this is a rarely seen feature.

Not only the roof in combination with the black paint gives this Morgan an attractive appearance. The large 16" spoke rims fill the wide fenders nicely, giving the Morgan a tough and thick look. The car is also equipped with stainless steel bumpers, a luggage rack, a badgebar with a few badges, bright lights on the front, wind deflectors from Simmonds and an adapted exhaust to accentuate the beautiful dark engine noise. All in all an unique edition with many beautiful extras!
