The development and evolution of the Morgan Aero 8 represents a significant milestone in the company's history, blending traditional Morgan values with modern engineering principles. Departing from Morgan's traditional construction methods, the introduction of an aluminum chassis and frame marked a bold step forward, enhancing performance and durability. Equipping the Aero 8 with a potent BMW V8 engine, initially the 4.4-liter "M62" and later the 4.8-liter "N62" in the Series 4 model, underscored Morgan's ambition to create a high-performance vehicle while ensuring reliable performance through a partnership with BMW that featured components and thorough endurance testing at BMW's L'Autodrome de Miramas. Subsequent limited-edition variants, such as the Aero Supersports further showcased Morgan's ability to innovate while staying true to its heritage.

Debuting at the 2009 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, the Aero SuperSports commemorated Morgan's centenary, as a fitting tribute to the brand's rich heritage and innovative spirit. The SuperSports showcased subtle yet notable distinctions from the production model, including a repositioned fuel tank, a fuel cap integrated into the rear wheel arch, and slightly reduced boot space. These modifications not only added to the SuperSports' exclusivity but also reflected Morgan's dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail in creating bespoke, limited-edition vehicles that capture the essence of the marque.

According to its accompanying build book, this 2010 Morgan SuperSports was equipped from the factory with the Aero SuperSports Body, Aero Silver Steel Wheels, Luna Grey Metallic with a Silver Steel Roof, Muirhead Distressed Tan Leather with quilted stitch pattern, Black carpets piped with Distressed Tan leather, Aero SuperSport Seats, Dark Grey Dash, and Natural Ash Wood Stain. The build book not only outlines the specification of the car but includes a number of production photos throughout the build process. The CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows that the car cleared customs on 25 August 2011 and remained under single ownership, and was rarely driven for the next 13 years. In June of 2024 and in preparation for sale the car was sent to Morgan of Atlanta for a comprehensive service. The service work totaled just shy of $20,000 and included cleaning the entire fuel system, replacing the fuel pump, fuel sending unit, fuel filter, spark plugs, drive belts, oxygen sensors, trunk struts, all four tires, recharging the air conditioning system, and changing the engine oil, coolant, and brake fluid.
