Dieser 1955er MG TF gehört zur letzten Baureihe der berühmten " T " - Modelle von MG. Die erste Baureihe " TA " wurde bis ins Jahr 1938 gebaut.
Dieses Exemplar wurde im Jahr 1985 nach 3 jähriger Arbeit und einer kompletten " Frame-off-Restaurierung " in Hamburg fertiggestellt, natürlich ist das fotodokumentiert.
Die Fahrzeug-Geschichte und die Service Historie sind seither bekannt.
Der tragende Rahmen und die Blechteile der Karosserie sind feuerverzinkt. Der hölzerne Rahmen der Karosserie wurde komplett erneuert, die gesamte Technik überarbeitet.
In der Zeit von 2018 bis 2024 sind dann noch ein synchronisiertes 5 - Gang Getriebe ( Ford ) eingebaut und der Motor samt Feintuning mit neuer Kurbelwelle, etwas schärferen Nocken, ausgewogenen Pleuel und überholtem Zylinderkopf überarbeitet. Gleiches gilt für die Bremsen, Reifen und die Überarbeitung der Hinterachse.
Das Classic Data Gutachten aus dem Jahr 2019 bestätigte den Zustand mit der Note " 1 - ".
Insgesamt ist es eine sehr sachkundig und liebevoll aufgebautes sehr zuverlässiges Fahrzeug, das keinerlei Service- oder Reparaturbedarf unterliegt und startklar für die neue Saison ist.
