There is a perception that the racing of Historic GT cars appears to be the domain of the very rich. Cars such as this superbly presented 1969 MG Midget racer confirm that this perception is ill-judged! Maintained in road-legal race specification this tax-exempt MG Midget was first used as a competition car in the early 1990s when it raced in the MGCC Cockshoot series. It was then used as a hill climb & sprint car, competing at venues such as Kames, Forrestburn & East Fortune. As the owner became more proficient in motorsport, he set his sights on higher achievements and it was then decided to attempt a more challenging racing series. So in 2000, this MG racer was prepared to contest the European FISC Racing Series for Midgets & Sprites. It raced on the Le Mans circuit, Spa, Nurburgring, Croft, Knockhill & other UK & European circuits, where it enjoyed a 100% finishing record with complete reliability!
