Mercedes-Benz capped off the legacy of its groundbreaking SLS AMG supercar with the 2015 SLS AMG Final Edition, unveiled simultaneously at the Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows. This limited series, capped at just 350 units, marked the end of an era for the SLS, combining the refinement of the standard model with the track-focused aggression of the Black Series, while incorporating the enhanced performance features of the SLS AMG GT. The Final Edition stood as the most coveted SLS variant for many enthusiasts, offering an ideal balance of luxury, performance, and exclusivity.

Distinctive elements set the Final Edition apart, beginning with its striking appearance. A carbon-fiber hood with a central air outlet, a carbon-fiber front splitter, and a fixed rear wing-borrowed from the SLS AMG Black Series-brought a more aggressive edge, while lightweight forged alloy wheels painted matte black further emphasized its performance pedigree. Inside, the cabin was finished in premium black leather from Mercedes-Benz's designo program, featuring silver diamond-pattern contrast stitching on the seats and door panels, Alcantara accents throughout, and silver seatbelts.

Under the hood, the 6.2-liter "M159" V8 engine received a power boost, now delivering an additional 20 horsepower for a total of 583, making the Final Edition even more formidable on the road. The AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed transmission was also enhanced, delivering quicker, more responsive shifts, while the suspension was returned with stiffer bushings and thicker rollbars for a more aggressive handling profile. It was desirably equipped with the optional extended carbon-fiber package with a carbon fiber hood, front splitter, and rear wing, enhancing its aggressive, track-inspired appearance. The adaptive AMG suspension, paired with 19 front and 20 inch rear wheels, delivers an engaging driving experience. Additional features include bi-xenon headlights, a black power-folding convertible soft top, Parktronic parking sensors.

Inside, the AMG sports seats are both power-adjustable and heated, and come with the innovative Airscarf neck warming system. The cabin also boasts Keyless-Go, dual-zone automatic climate control, carbon-fiber interior trim, and the COMAND infotainment system with integrated navigation and a six-disc CD changer. Perfectly positioned for the drivers is the Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles. Lastly, affixed to the carbon fiber center console trim is a plaque confirming this to be one of just 350 Final Editions built worldwide.
