Beautiful and original 500 SL AMG line from 1997 of the 2nd and improved facelift type 2.

The car has had 1 owner, who had the car from 1997 to 2021 (see Carfax)

Comes from sunny California, so absolutely no rust on the car, no dryness cracks on the dashboard.
Still very clean under the bonnet and chassis beams.

The car has stood still for a long time, so it must be fully checked, small leaks from the engine and gearbox are to be expected.

The paint is in reasonable and original condition, expect some scratches, pits, dents and clear lacquer spots that are coming off, there are also some tiny vandalism scratches (see photo), many of these can still be polished out.

The air conditioning unit is blowing but will need to be filled and/or checked.

A small star in the windscreen, see photo (probably still repairable) barely visible and not in the field of view.

The automatic soft top roof needs to be checked, now only opens manually (pump works, but does not build up enough pressure)

The soft top is in beautiful and undamaged condition.
A hardtop is included.

Never had any damage or problems, this car gets a Carfax score of no less than 76 points which is far above average, the SL is therefore a super nice basis for a complete restoration.
