This Mercedes convertible of the R129 series was sold through the Zeughausgarage in Biel on the 31st of March 1995 and 1st registered in the Vaudoise canton on the 11th April of the same year. Well equipped with a hard top, electrically operated soft top, leather interior, air conditioning, 5 speed automatic gearbox, cruise control, electrically operated and heated seats, a CD changer and a rear bench, the new prize of this noble Benz was around 120’000 Swiss francs. The complete service booklet would let us assume that the car has had a change of ownership in 2006 before, in 2013 with then140’000 kilometres showing, it was taken over by the last owner. He covered an additional 50’000 kilometres in the following eleven years which would confirm the actual mileage of around 190’000 kilometres. Recently the soft top was replaced and the SL now presents itself in good and very well maintained overall condition. The last MOT was completed in September 2024.
