Description

On November 14, 1985, Mr. Robert Goodson, an Opelika jewelry store owner traded in his 1976 450SL for this 1985 model. (invoice and original sticker attached) It was kept garaged most of its life and stayed with the family and its heirs for 35 years. A leather binder of service history and repairs is included to document its well-kept life. The window sticker and sales invoice are included in the photos of this 50,000-mile original. 1985 was the last year of the 380SL and includes all the improvements over this model's run. This model R107 was Mercedes's longest production run, and most successful. Painted in Astral Silver metallic with Burgundy interior with a Black soft top and removable hard top, this car features a 3.8L light alloy overhead cam V8 with CIS fuel injection. 4-speed automatic transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, fog lamps, first aid kit, tool kit, and owner's manual, this 1985 features a dual timing chain, one of the major improvements over earlier years of the model R107. The paint is original, if you ever wanted a collector car with €śgood bones€ť for a full restoration or just to keep it as an original this is a great candidate! VIN# WDBBA45COFA034523. Selling at Public Auction on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
