The Mercedes-Benz 450 SL, introduced in 1972, is an iconic model of the R107 series, a series produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1971 to 1989. This series was a successor to the W113 (Pagoda). The 450 SL was designed as a luxurious roadster with a removable hardtop and a soft-top, giving drivers the best of both worlds: an enclosed coupe and an open convertible.
