Mercedes-Benz launched the 113 Series cars with the 230 SL in 1963, featuring Paul Bracq’s iconic “pagoda” roof. By 1971, 49,812 examples of the 113 Series had been sold. The 1967–71 280 SL models were the fastest and most popular.

This car retains its original manuals, build card, tools, and jack. Late-build 280 SLs are seldom found with manual gearboxes, and many enthusiasts agree that the character of the car is greatly improved.
