Body no. 121012-10-01233 Produced in the summer of 1959 and exported to the USA, this car is an example of the Coupé version that, on request, could be supplied with a soft hood as an accessory.
Around 11 years ago, its current owner imported it into Italy, where it was completely restored by marque specialists. It is currently fitted with a Sonnenland Blu canvas hood.
It has traveled 24,000 kilometers (14,928 miles) since its restoration. 
Its present color scheme is Dolphin Blue (DB380), correct for the year and model, over blue leather interiors, but it was originally painted gray (DB166).  
Original matching Mercedes hard top restored together with the vehicle but never been used since.
Perfectly maintained, the car has been used sporadically and carefully since being restored. Always stored in the garage, it has only been used in fine weather and with the roof down.  
It was last serviced just a few months, and 500 kilometers ago; mechanically in perfect working order.
It holds the ASI Certificate of Historical Importance, or CRS (although it should be noted that this certificate incorrectly reports the production year as 1961).
Equipped with a VDO Kienzle hand-wound clock, which works perfectly.
One of the most beautiful open cars ever produced. Always hugely admired, it is renowned for its reliability and easy management.
