The Mercedes-Benz S 600 represented the pinnacle of automotive engineering during the 1990s. Festooned with industry firsts from double glazing to a self-closing boot lid and doors, the W140 class set the bar for luxury, technology and performance.

This car left the factory in 1996 and was delivered new to Japan in December of the same year. It is notable for its AMG upgrades, including a ‘power pack’ for the M120 V12, signature instrument cluster and trims as well as AMG ‘monoblock’ alloys with machine-polished edges. It is also a long-wheelbase example and features electrically heated and adjustable multi-contour rear seats with footrests. It remained in Japan until 2015 before being exported to Germany, where it was purchased by the consignor later that year.

There are few other cars that offer the comfort, performance and exclusivity of a long-wheelbase W140 S600, even amongst contemporary limousines. This is a pristine example and remains a very fine way to travel long distances in absolute comfort.

In den 90er Jahren stand der Mercedes-Benz S 600 für die Spitze der deutschen Ingenieurskunst. Ausgestattet mit einer ganzen Reihe erstmals eingesetzter Details von Doppelverglasung bis zur Zuziehautomatik für Kofferraumdeckel und Türen, stellte der W140 die neue Messlatte für Luxus, Technik und Performance dar.

Dieses Fahrzeug wurde 1996 hergestellt und im gleichen Jahr in Japan ausgeliefert. Auffallend sind die Vielzahl von AMG Details wie das Power Pack für den M120 V12-Zylinder, die AMG-spezifischen Instrumente und die AMG-Monoblockfelgen mit glanzgedrehtem Felgenrand. Diese Version mit verlängertem Radstand bietet elektrisch beheiz- und einstellbare Multikontursitze hinten mit zusätzlichen Fußstützen. Dieses Fahrzeug verblieb bis 2015 in Japan, bevor es nach Deutschland exportiert wurde, wo es der einliefernde Besitzer später im gleichen Jahr erwarb.
