Description
The full fat, big block SEC with the 5547cc V8 engine with 296bhp which propels this understated missile to sixty in just 7 seconds and will carry on with unerring verve until about 150mph
Allow wheels, air conditioning, electric mirrors, windows and sunroof were all standard, at a time when all normal German cars didn't even had a radio, unless you paid extra !!
Even the seat belts for the front seats had extenders to allow you to receive them with ease
As there were many lesser models with the smaller engines, which were much less expensive, the 560SEC is a bit of a paradox
We love them, as they have the same performance as a V8 Aston of the same period, and yet a similar Aston would set you back at least 3 times the price of this beauty
Only 6 owners since new - the first owner was a personal friend of mine, and quite a story to tell there, for another time - all of whom are listed within the history folder, by address and time of ownership too
Delivered in Smoke Silver with cream leather interior she also benefits from seat heaters, a rear window blind and whilst she is in immaculate condition the alloy wheels must have been refurbished as they are like new, fitted with fresh Michelin 215/65 R 15 tyres
Within the book pack are all manuals, pamphlets, service booklet plus quick operation card for the automatic climate control and many other warranty cards and etc
Charles Ironside recommissioned her in 2016 and she has covered only 4.000 miles since - obviously we have carried another full service with our team this Autumn and total mileage is now just 61.500
There is modern stereo in the passenger foot well with remote control and a sub woofer in the boot - obviously should the new owner wish for this to be removed, we will gladly do so!!
Seriously, the noise of the big block is much more preferable.........
NB The cherished number shown on the photograph's has been removed by the DVLA and is not sold with the Mercedes
