A G-Class like never before: With the G 650 Landaulet, Mercedes-Maybach presents a new highlight in the illustrious history of this model. In addition to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and the S 650 Cabriolet, the open version of the G-Class is the first off-road vehicle from the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. The special G 650 Landaulet follows the equally spectacular AMG G 63 6x6 and G 500 4x42 variants. With its impressive V12 engine, portal axles, electrically operated fabric top and exclusive decoration of the rear compartment, this is a very special 4x4 model of which only 99 copies are built.

The history of the G-Class is characterized by superlatives and milestones. With the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, the off-road icon shows that unique luxury can always be taken to an even higher level. And not only that, the cult model among all-terrain vehicles continues to reinvent itself and shows that there is still a lot of potential in this classic 4x4 model, which has been in production since 1979.

“The name Maybach dates back to the early days of the car. The name stands for ultimate luxury with tradition, combined with high-tech,” says Dr. Jens Thiemer, Head of Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. “In 2015, we took the logical step to add a new chapter to the top segment with the creation of the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand.” Since then, more than 15,000 Mercedes-Maybachs have been produced. One in ten cars sold in the S‑Class segment was a Mercedes-Maybach. Thiemer: “With the Mercedes-Maybach G‑Class Landaulet, we are expanding the Mercedes-Maybach model range with the most iconic and prestigious off-road vehicle in the world. With the fifth model after the S‑Class Saloon, Pullman and Cabriolet as well as the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 study model, we underline the importance of the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand for the Mercedes brand family.”

With a length of 5,345 m, wheelbase of 3,428 millimeters, height of 2,235 millimeters, almost half a meter of ground clearance and plenty of space and comfort for four passengers, the G 650 Landaulet exceeds all standards. This extroverted G-Class is therefore a unique combination of a luxurious driver's limousine and an off-road vehicle. While the driver and front passenger are housed under a steel roof, the rear passengers can open an electrically operated, large fabric folding roof at the touch of a button. The rear passengers enjoy open-top driving on individual seats. If desired, an electrically operated glass partition separates the driver's area from the rear compartment. In addition, the glass can be changed from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button.

The most powerful engine available provides maximum driving comfort: the Mercedes-AMG V12 biturbo. It delivers a maximum power of 463 kW/630 hp with a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm.

Limited to 99 copies.
Like all other variants of the G-Class, the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet will also be produced by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria. Production is limited to 99 copies.
