The engine is not original from 1983, but equipped with the more powerful and modern Mercedes engine OM603 113PK and automatic gearbox, which gives a-lot more power to G on the road or off-road. Pretty common engine swap for MB G.

The inside of the car is covered with aluminum plates on the floor and side panels which are sealed with special kit to avoid water to go under the floor (especially made for off-road to avoid rust). The front seats are not original but these seats give extra comfort on the road for long distance travel. The back seats are original.

The car was successfully imported into the Netherlands with all the detail inspection and tests by RDW. The car has 2 years of APK/TUV.

The car drives, shifts and breaks smoothly on the road. The comfort speed 90-100 km/h with the off-road tires, with other tires can go up to 120-130 km/h.
