Redline Restorations is pleased to offer this excellent condition 1992 Mercedes 500E. What was once called “The wolf in sheep's clothing” has now been labeled a 90's icon and is considered a modern classic.

The 500E was built in collaboration with Porsche to build a high-performance version of the W124 chassis. The Porsche engineers were tasked with fitting the naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 from the 500 SL roadster into the luxury sedan. The V8 power plant delivers 322 Horsepower to the rear wheels and is capable of 150mph...However, this specific 500e HAD 322 horsepower until Renn-Tech had their way with it, through Renn-Tech modifications it is picked up an extra estimated 70 horsepower, placing its total output near 390hp.

This example is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic with gray lower body paneling. The widened fenders, factory suspension upgrades, and drivetrain adjustments give it an aggressive but planted stance. This 500E currently sports a set AMG 17” 5-spoke wheels, the OEM wheels will also be included in the sale.

The anthracite leather Recaro sport seats make for an incredibly comfortable cabin. The heated front seats, electrically-operated rear shade, and becker cassette deck make for unmistakable ride quality. Few sounds are as satisfying as the solid close of a 500E door.

This particular example has been dealer modified with genuine ReNNtech equipment! The modifications include a RENN-TECH E-Prom performance chip, RENN-TECH CARBON airbox, ASR (Traction Control) defeat switch, and ultra rare RENN-TECH / ALCON Big brake kit.
