Description
"The CL Class is the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz car range. It continued to follow the same development cycle as the S-Class though riding on a shorter wheelbase and offered with only the higher-output powertrains. It was the first to feature Active Body Control, Xenon headlights and on the early V12 models such as this one, it employed Active Cylinder Control. This shut down one bank of cylinders under light engine load enabling better fuel economy than the V8 CL500. Not bad for a car with a six litre, V12 developing 367bhp and yielding a 0-60mph time of 5.9 seconds.
Originally registered on 5th March 2001, this presents in superb condition and has only covered 43,589 miles from new. The silver coachwork is virtually unmarked as is the grey interior. The specification of these handsome coupés is comprehensive with electric/heated seats, air conditioning and tv monitor all fitted as standard. However this example also benefits from massage seats, a welcome feature on long journeys. The car has only ever been serviced by Mercedes-Benz franchised dealers with the last service on 24th April 2019 at 42,679 miles by Mercedes-Benz, Oxford. This car is supplied with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 4th May 2020 together with two keys and a comprehensive collection of invoices. These stylish coupés are sure to fall into the category of ‘future modern classics’ and immaculate CL600’s such as this are expected to become prized examples."
