The Savanna GT Coupe was only available exclusively in Japan, with very limited build numbers, over the course of only 1 year.

Overtop of a standard model, the Savanna GT coupe was fitted with a 125HP 12A Rotary Motor, coupled to a 5 Speed Gearbox, with slightly Lowered Suspension, a more performance orientated RX-3 for the Japanese market.

The Exterior and Interior also received enhancements with Revised Taillights, a 5 Speed Badge on the back, and an RE12 Badge on the Front Grille. The dashboard, and centre console, was also completely redesigned and is unique the the GT Savanna Coupe.
